Inspired by Agatha Christie and Sherlock Holmes, Lord Winklebottom Investigates travels to 1920s London and joins the detective adventure of Lord Winklebottom and his partner Dr Frumple.
Lord Winklebottom, who is invited to Barghest Island to unravel a murder and catch the murderer, embarks on an exciting adventure with his partner, Dr Frumple. In Lord Winklebottom Investigates, in the point and click genre where the characters are animals, we find hidden objects and use them in appropriate places and in appropriate ways, solve puzzles, talk to suspects, and go after the killer.
In the introductory part of the demo version, we set out to go to Barghest Island as a result of a murder. After preparing milk tea for Dr. Frumple in our apartment at 221B, we take our breath away at the port. Although we have a ticket for our journey to the island, we face many obstacles. We solve many obstacles, from the owner of the pub who forgets his keys, to a broken ship and a captain who refuses to sail. Since we are a Giraffe, one of our advantages is that we can easily reach the second floor glass.
Lord Winklebottom Investigates, which had a successful funding process on Kickstarter at the beginning of 2019, is being developed by Charlotte Sutherland‘s one-person game studio Cave Monsters. Lord Winklebottom Investigates, with beautiful hand-drawn visuals and an intriguing world that is just as similar to ours but quite different, will launch for PC and Nintendo Switch in the first quarter of 2022.
